What They're Saying

Chivas Guadalajara striker Michel Vazquez (via ESPN): "It's very special. I know [my manager] was the person who gave me the opportunity to return to the highest level and I have a very special affection [for him]. But now I go with the team that gave me the opportunity to fulfill my dream of playing in the first division and I want to beat [Veracruz], play a good game and start the tournament with three points."

Chivas Guadalajara manager Jose Manuel de la Torre (via ESPN FC): "What President does not want his team to be champion? But we have made it very clear from the beginning what the objectives are and we'll go from there. We go every game. No one becomes a champion if they don't' have very clear objectives, create a solid foundation for aspiring to the maximum and of course we know what it takes."
