The Biggest Party of the Summer is coming to the Big Apple when the WWE presents SummerSlam and while it's still two months away, it's never too early to speculate on the card.

No disrespect to Battleground, which is notable because Brock Lesnar will return to the ring, but SummerSlam is the highlight of the WWE's pay-per-view and WWE Network slate for the summer months of June-August and is one of the most exciting events of the year.

Before the WWE puts on its own summer blockbuster on Aug. 23 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, here's a look at three possible matches for the event.

Seth Rollins 'Not Afraid' Of Brock Lesnar, Upated 'Battleground' Card

Seth Rollins vs. Triple H

This bout has been rumored for a while and would be a classic teacher vs. student type of dynamic, and it could very well happen at SummerSlam in August.

The question here will be whether or not Rollins is still the champion as Triple H getting a title shot would be kind of weird at this stage in the game, but still possible if he wants the belt off The Architect bad enough to return.

The other question is whether or not Rollins will enter as a face or heel as he has gained a lot of steam since turning, but Triple H has been the villainous face of the WWE alongside his wife Stephanie McMahon since SummerSlam 2013. Either way, this could be a fascinating match and could lead to a temporary Shield reunion if Rollins is indeed a face.

Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton

This is another match that has been speculated on for a while and adds another interesting dynamic to the face/heel alignments. Another thing to think about is whether or not Lesnar is the champion coming into this, once again pending the results of Battleground.

As far as the alignments, The Beast doesn't need to necessarily declare himself a face or heel as he has said in the past he is a prize fighter, and he's enough of an attraction that the crowd just wants to see him tear people apart.

For my money, Orton has always worked better as a heel, but the WWE doesn't even have to bother switching his alignment if they don't want to as him vs. Lesnar can go beyond the "good guy, bad guy" dynamic and could just be two veterans trying to beat each other.

The Viper provides an interesting opponent for The Beast because his offense, which includes the RKO, a punt to the head and a through the ropes DDT, is actually believable and could possibly take down this seemingly unstoppable monster.

John Cena & Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt & Kevin Owens

This is a bit of an out-there matchup, but it would be interesting to see the Face of the Franchise team up with Reigns, who could use the rub if the WWE ever wants to contemplate pushing him in a big way again.

I'm more intrigued, however, by the prospect of Owens and Wyatt being forced to team together or uniting in their own weird way to form an explosive tandem heading into the biggest event of the summer.

Even though the Cena-Owens feud has been fantastic and yielded two amazing clashes thus far, this would be a refreshing way to go about it while also integrating the feud between Reigns and Wyatt into the mix rather than having Cena face Owens for the fourth straight time one-on-one.

While it's a long-shot such a tag team match would happen, I at least think it would be pretty interesting to see Cena and Reigns team up to form a super duo against two huge villains with similar outlooks on the WWE in Owens and Wyatt.
