Gennady "GGG" Golovkin is still looking for an opponent for the next defense of his middleweight titles, and an appealing challenger not named Miguel Cotto may have emerged. Canadian knockout artist David Lemieux captured the vacant IBF title with a one-sided decision over Hassan N'Dam, which featured several knockdowns.

Lemieux improved to 34-2-0 with the win over N'Dam and continued to provide the fireworks fans love to see. Few fighters have ever provided the type of fireworks Golovkin does inside the ring, so the pairing looks like a match made in heaven. The last time two elite punchers were paired was an April junior welterweight fight between Lucas Matthysse and Ruslan Provodnikov which absolutely did not disappoint.

The fight would be a crowd pleaser for sure, but Golovkin is still interested in bigger names than Lemieux. With Miguel Cotto showing no interest, Golovkin is saying he is willing to go to the U.K. for a super middleweight bout with Carl Froch.

"Froch is a proven warrior in the ring with a big punch," Golovkin said. "He filled Wembley in his last fight with George Groves and I have fought in some of the biggest arenas in the U.S. so it would be a huge worldwide event and a big test for me. I was in London a few months ago and the people invited me to come over again so, yes, I would come to Britain."

A fight vs. Froch would not signal a permanent move to super middleweight for Golovkin though, who intends on becoming the premier middleweight of all time.

"I want to unify the division and break Bernard Hopkins' record of 20 middleweight title defenses," Golovkin said.
