Dolph Ziggler could be preparing to leave the WWE in a few months when his contract expires.

CM Punk's First UFC Fight Likely Pushed To 2016

There has been a lot of speculation over the last few months that Ziggler is upset over his role in the WWE and now the rumor is that he could looking to leave the organization in a few months.

During a recent episode of MLW Radio, former WWE creative writer Court Bauer discussed the rumor and said he believed that Ziggler could leave in a similar way that John Morrison did as he is now in Lucha Underground wrestling under the Johnny Muno moniker.

"Dolph's deal is up in a few months and he has indicated informally that unless he gets a big push, he may leave like Mundo," Bauer said on the podcast, according to Wrestlingheadlines.com.

After having a big push in 2012 that saw The Showoff win the World Heavyweight Championship after cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase, Ziggler has mostly toiled in the midcard.

He's held the World Heavyweight Championship twice in his career, having a one-day reign in 2011 and then holding it for 69 days after getting injured following his successful Money in the Bank briefcase cash-in.

Ziggler won the gold on Monday Night RAW in April 2013, the night after WrestleMania XXIX, and he then dropped it to Alberto Del Rio at Payback 2013.

The Showoff is now in a storyline with Lana, who is portraying his love interest following her split with Rusev.

Ziggler, 34, is also a four-time Intercontinental Champion, one-time Tag Team Champion and a one-time United States Champion.
