Tonight at 8:10 p.m. ET, the Milwaukee Brewers (24-43) and Kansas City Royals (37-25) take the field for the final contest of a four-game home-and-home series live from Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.

Milwaukee looks to halt a five-game losing streak and avoid a sweep while Kansas City hopes to complete the sweep and win its fourth straight match.

The Royals took both games in Milwaukee with 8-5 and 7-2 wins and then took the third meeting from the Brewers when the series shifted to Kansas City Wednesday by a 10-2 score.

Jimmy Nelson (3-7, 4.60 ERA) mans the mound for Milwaukee while Kansas City counters with Jeremy Guthrie and he is 4-4 with a 5.79 ERA thus far this season.

Nelson will look to shut down a Royals lineup that has been paced by third baseman Mike Moustakas, who is fourth in the American League with a .323 batting average and has six homers and 23 RBI.

Designated hitter Kendrys Morales is fourth in the AL with 18 doubles while Paulo Orlando is tied for second with five triples.

On Wednesday, shortstop Alcides Escobar drove in four runs for the Royals.

The Brewers counter with a roster that is led by Ryan Braun, who has a club-best 13 homers and 41 RBI and first baseman Adam Lind, who has a team-leading .278 average with nine round-trippers and 33 RBI.

Kansas City enters play in first place in the AL Central, 3.5 games ahead of the second-place Minnesota Twins while Milwaukee is in the basement of the NL Central, 20 games behind the division-leading St. Louis Cardinals.

The Brewers and Royals close out a four-game home-and-home series live tonight from Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.
