The San Antonio Spurs' Big Three could be headed for one more run at an NBA championship in 2015-16. Whether that's good news remains to be scene.

The San Antonio Express-News reported Wednesday that point guard Tony Parker said he believes both forward Tim Duncan and guard Manu Ginobili will return next season.

"I think they're both going to play one more year," Parker told the Express-News on Wednesday. "I'm trying to be positive."

The trio has been together since 2002 has won four NBA titles together (Duncan has five total, including the ring he won in 1999).

LaMarcus Aldridge more attainable than Marc Gasol for Spurs in free agency?

Duncan turned 39 in April and Ginobili will turn 38 in July. Along with the 33-year-old Parker, the trio is second in NBA history for victories together with 539 regular-season wins - just one behind Larry Bird, Kevin McHale and Robert Parish of the Boston Celtics.

The Express-News discovered that Duncan, who is suing a former financial adviser, has requested for a trial to be set next summer "so he won't miss any playing time."

It was assumed after the Spurs' season ended to the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, Duncan would return.

Ginobili's status, however, has been up in the air since last season ended. He is scheduled to make $7 million in 2015-16, which could cause a bit of an issue in the team's pursuit of a big-name free agent, such as LaMarcus Aldridge or Marc Gasol next summer.

But San Antonio still had a strong 2014-15 season, CBS Sports reported, with the Big Three in place.

"San Antonio just didn't get the luck it needed when it came to injuries this past season -- it looked almost unbeatable when Parker and Kawhi Leonard were healthy, but the team wasn't totally itself against the Los Angeles Clippers in the playoffs," CBS Sports commented. "Still, that was a classic series, and the Spurs were as close as you can be to advancing.

"San Antonio was still a great team in 2014-15."
