What They're Saying
New York Cosmos head coach Giovanni Savarese (via Empire of Soccer): "We had a difficult week. We played seven matches in eight days. We do have some injuries. Marcos Senna is one of them. He will not be able to play tomorrow [Tuesday]. We found the field [at Pedro Marrero Stadium] to be much better than we expected. We had a good training session [Monday]. We know that they will make some changes for tomorrow in order to cut the grass and do some other things, but we are pleased to play on this surface."
New York Cosmos striker Raul (via Havana Times): "For me, it was a big surprise to see the amount of people that recognized me, stopped me, who wanted to take a picture. [Cuba] is a country that lives soccer with passion, especially the Spanish League, which is followed with great interest. Hopefully, in a country like Cuba more children begin to play soccer."
Tactical Preview
Player to Watch: Raul is the name synonymous with the Cosmos, but Raul Fernandes' productivity this campaign has been equally superb. In eight league appearances, the 23-year-old has three goals.
