Marc Gasol's silence has the Memphis Grizzlies worried.

Based on tweets from USA TODAY Sports' Sam Amick and ESPN's Marc Stein, gamedayr.com reported that the Grizzlies are in a financial conundrum over Gasol's free agency and that he could be in a San Antonio Spurs uniform next season.

Tim Duncan sues former financial adviser over $20 million in lost investments

"Memphis is in a tough spot. Both Gasol and Zach Randolph are free agents, and though the new TV deal will give every team nice advance on their allowance to lure free agents, the Grizzlies may not benefit from that as much," gamedayr.com reported.

The Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks could attempt to lure Gasol with a max contract, gamedayr.com reported, but Gasol prefers to remain in a smaller market to keep a lower profile. Memphis fits that description, but so does San Antonio.

Spurs to nudge out Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili to lure LaMarcus Aldridge?

"I normally don't hear anything that the crowd shouts, either good or bad. I haven't even spent a second thinking of that," Gasol said after Friday night's Game 6 loss to the Golden State Warriors that ended the Grizzlies' season, to the Mephis Commercial-Appeal. "I'm drained right now. I couldn't pull it out for my teammates tonight."

Gasol's teammates already have let the Spaniard know where he belongs in 2015-16.

"I'll be hurt if I wake up one morning and he's gone," said Grizzlies guard Tony Allen, according to wmcactionnews5.com.

"It goes beyond basketball," Randolph added. "He's my brother. I tell him 'I love you, man,' you know where I want you at."

But the Spurs enter the offseason with Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili as free agents. With rising star Kawhi Leonard expected to get a max contract, the Spurs are in limbo until they find out about what Duncan and Ginobili want to do.

The Spurs also are said to be interested in Portland's LaMarcus Aldridge, but Gasol has to be at least somewhat intrigued by the Spurs for him not to commit to return to the Grizzlies yet.
