Count Dallas Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick as the latest casualty in a celebrity relationship.

TMZ Sports reported that Scandrick and girlfriend Draya Michele of "Basketball Wives" fame have broken up, citing a post from Michele on her Instagram account.

"After more than two years together, Orlando and I have mutually decided to end our relationship," Michele wrote. "Unfortunately, we both live very hectic lives making it difficult to spend the deserved time together. He is a great father and athlete and I will cherish the memories that we created."

TMZ Sports reported that the couple had discussed marriage a couple of months earlier.

Scandrick had been holding out from the Cowboys' offseason workouts, trying to secure a new contract, but profootballtalk.nbcsports.com said that the eighth-year veteran has returned to the Cowboys in hopes of renegotiating a contract.

The Cowboys drafted cornerback Byron Jones in the first round may have made Scandrick rethink his holdout, profootballtalk.nbcsports.com reported.

Madamenoire.com reported that Scandrick and Michele already have experience in the breakup department. In August, Michele announced the two had split in a much less amicable tone.

"I'd rather focus on my career and family than a relationship at the time," Michele said. "I did my best to make things work. I'm not the one who failed."

But the two patched the relationship less than a month later.

Michele has a son from a previous relationship, and Scandrick has twin daughters from a previous relationship. Madamenoire.com reported that the split could be tough on the kids, who seemed to be forming a family dynamic.

"It's unfortunate that these two couldn't work things out, especially considering that they began blending their families," madamenoire.com reported. "Her son and his twin daughters appeared to be forming a rather beautiful bond. Only time will tell whether or not things are truly over this time."
