"I'm the victim of a shakedown here."

That's what Nick Young seems to be saying concerning the latest developments in a rape accusation that stretches back to 2011. The Los Angeles Lakers guard has consistently maintained his innocence throughout the affair.

Nick Young Not Happy With An SC Anchor's Dig At Iggy Azalea

This week TMZ Sports learned that Young's accuser is demanding $3 million in compensation as a result of this situation, but Young is refusing to ante up. The woman cites "emotional distress and a loss of earnings" as her motive for the money.

The accusation against Young is appalling. The woman claims he slipped her a date rape drug at a Southern California club in 2011, and then took her home to anally and vaginally rape her. Authorities dismissed charges against Young after an investigation turned up nothing substantial, but she's been battling him in civil court for two years now.

Nick Young Very Glad The Lakers' Season Is Over

If Young doesn't settle, the two are scheduled to battle out the he-said-she-said affair in court next month.

Young responded to the accusations leveled against him in great detail back in May of 2013.

“I was shocked with the amount of people who actually believed that Swaggy would do such a thing!" Young said on Instagram at the time. "I take my craft and my reputation seriously. I have a son that looks up to me as well as fans that are children. I would never want them to think of me in such a way. I learned that God has a way of showing things: Who my real friends are, who I can trust and who has my best interest.

"So to my family, friends, coaches, teammates and fans that supported me through this challenging time I want to say thank you for believing in me. Your support and prayer means the world to me. At this I want to say God is everything so keep yo faith, keep smiling and swagging on these haters.”
