Call him Johnny Suburbs, Johnny Mow Your Lawn, Johnny Hit The Links, or Johnny Cul de Sac. But the city slicker is headed to the boonies in 2015.

Johnny Manziel Not The Favorite For Starting Job

According to ESPN, the Browns quarterback has moved out of his previous apartment in downtown Cleveland and will be living in a secluded suburb instead during his second pro season. The move is designed to keep Manziel out of the spotlight and party scene, allowing him to focus on football as much as possible instead.

A key reason for the decision apparently was the suburban community’s proximity to a golf course. A source told ESPN that Manziel has been golfing frequently, using it as an outlet for release and therapy since leaving rehab.

Colleen Crowley Gives Followers A Glimpse of Johnny Football

Aside from popping up at a Texas Rangers game and on the Instagram feed of his girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, this is the first major news on Manziel’s part since his original choice to enter rehab in the first place. Manziel has called his attempts at improvement an “ongoing process.”

Teammates have already remarked that the former Heisman winner’s work ethic and commitment are demostrably higher than what they were a year ago.
