The Los Angeles Clippers outlasted the San Antonio Spurs in an epic first round series that would have been perfectly at home as a Western Conference Finals matchup. They had little time to celebrate the victory though, as they had to kick off their second round series against the Houston Rockets on Monday night.

Many assumed that Houston would have the upper hand in the first game of the series. Not only do the Rockets have home court advantage, but they also got extra rest after winning their first round series in only five games. And to make matters worse for L.A., Chris Paul missed the game with a leg injury.
None of it mattered on Monday night, however. Blake Griffin posted a monster triple double (his second in a row), the Rockets looked apathetic and played sloppily, and the Clippers earned a convincing victory to start off the series.

The strong play by Los Angeles did not sit well with Houston fans, and they spent large portions of the evening talking trash to any Clipper that would listen.
The heckling did not go unnoticed, at least by head coach Doc Rivers. But he was not going to take the treatment lying down, and instead, he went right back at the fans, imploring them to continue raining boos and trash talk, as it obviously was doing nothing to help the team.
