Texas A&M is sticking to its guns about using Johnny Manziel to lure recruits on Twitter.

The school has a Twitter account associated with the program, AggieFBLife - as well as an AggieFBLife.com website - dedicated to Aggies football. The Twitter account posted a graphic of Manziel and wrote:

Cleveland Browns' All-Pro left tackle Joe Thomas says Johnny Manziel has bright future ahead

"Sign With Texas A&M:

The message was posted ahead of Thursday night's first night of the NFL Draft. Of course, the tweet got some responses, almost all of them negative.

The Cleveland Browns offered Johnny Manziel in a package deal to the Philadelphia Eagles for Sam Bradford?

But the original tweet, presumably along with the responses, remains on the site. Perhaps, Texas A&M thinks the social media reach-out to potential recruits is worth a few disparaging remarks about Manziel's post-Aggies football career.

One of two Cleveland Browns' first-round draft picks last year, Manziel flopped miserably. He played in five games in 2014, starting two. Manziel completed 18 of 35 passes for 175 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions. He did rush nine times for 29 yards with one touchdown but was sacked three times.

Manziel's season ended with him hurting his back and missing practices and team meetings, according to media reports. After the season, Manziel then checked himself into a rehabilitation facility in late January and stayed there until mid-April.

Cleveland Browns teammate and Pro Bowl left tackle Joe Thomas said Manziel's dedication to the team and his craft since his return has been impressive. Thomas added that Manziel has been studying his playbook extensively since his return.

The second-year player and 2012 Heisman Trophy winner is trying to salvage his job amid reports that the Browns offered their two first-round draft picks to the Tennessee Titans for their No. 2 pick, presumably to move into position to draft Oregon quarterback and 2014 Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota.
