Peyton Manning To Get Derek Jeter Treatment In 2015?

Fast forward a few months, and Manning is back with Denver and working to prepare his teammates for another drive toward the Super Bowl. Still, the rumors about Manning's future have persisted, especially after reports emerged that television stations and sponsors are quietly planning to treat 2015 as if it will be Manning's final season.

According to NFL.com, Manning thinks that everyone should calm down a bit over whether or not he will call it a career after this year is done. He does not flat out say that he will come back for the 2016 season or anytime beyond, but he says that he feels "physically good" and makes it clear that he thinks he can still play.

When asked about his thoughts on being 39 for the upcoming season, Manning replied, "I don't see it as a farewell tour. I'm not interested in answering questions about how old I am."

Manning went on to say that he has enjoyed working with his teammates and getting to know the new playbook that head coach Gary Kubiak is bringing to the team.

Obviously these questions will persists, and retirement talk will surely heat up at the end of next season. But unless Denver wins a Super Bowl, it sounds like there is a decent chance that fans will see Manning under center beyond this season.
