Add awards show host to the list of Russell Wilson's many credentials. The Seattle Seahawks quarterback is going to be taking the stage as host of this year's Nickelodeon Kids Choice Sports Awards on July 16th. The green slime that will inevitably follow is probably the only color more neon and garish than the ones on the Seahawks uniforms.

The show will be filmed at the Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles, home to the UCLA Bruins basketball team.

“I am thrilled that Nickelodeon has asked me to host Kids Choice Sports. What an honor to be the king of slime for one crazy night,” Wilson said to Variety. “I had so much fun at the show last summer that I can’t wait to get back. What kid doesn’t want to get slimed? Count me in on that. I’m just a big kid at heart, so let the fun begin. I promise you, we’re going to have great fun.”

Seahawks, Wilson Contract Negotiations Turn Contentious

At the press conference announcing Wilson as host, the 26-year-old was asked about his new relationship with hip-hop/R&B artist Ciara. The two were spotted attending a Seattle Mariner game together last weekend, and Ciara was originally slated to be Wilson's guest to the White House Correspondents' Dinner.

Wilson slyly ducked a Ciara dating question in the video below.
