The NFL Draft is just over a week away, and many of the questions that have plagued NFL fans all offseason long will be answered. Who will go first? Will anybody trade up to grab a quarterback? What highly-touted player(s) will fall out of the top ten picks?

These questions and more are on the minds of many fans and league executives, but the future of Marcus Mariota is undoubtedly one of the hottest conversation topics. The Heisman winner from Oregon is widely considered the second-best quarterback prospect available, and many expect him to be a top-five pick, if not second overall.

But according to Bleacher Report, not everyone is sold on Mariota's potential as an NFL signal caller. Former NFL running back Maurice Jones-Drew has gone on the record saying that he is not overly impressed by Mariota and that he thinks the young man will struggle to adjust to the NFL, and he threw out an unflattering comparison to drive his point home.

"Some first-rounders will end up in horrible situations," Jones-Drew said. "Some scouts will say that a player fits a system when he clearly doesn't. Mariota is a good example of that."

Jones-Drew brought up the case of his former teammate, Blaine Gabbert, who was also highly regarded coming out of college. He has floundered thus far in the NFL, and many have already tagged him with the "bust" label.

"It wasn't that Blaine was bad. It was that he was uncomfortable," said Jones-Drew. "You don't take Mark Zuckerberg and have him run a construction company. Blaine never adapted to the complicated pro offenses.

"The thing with Mariota is that it will take a long time for him to adjust to the NFL. It will take years. He will have to go to the absolute perfect place. It won't take Winston as long."
