Many would argue that the most demanding job in sports is that of the NFL quarterback. They are responsible for knowing the assignments of every player on the team on every play, reading defenses, identifying coverages and pass rush schemes, checking through progressions to find open receivers, and much, much more.

Adrian Peterson's Suspension A Blessing In Disguise?

And all of that is just on the field, which is to say nothing of the often-crushing expectations of fan bases to turn teams into winners or continue traditions of success. That is why so many young quarterbacks do not pan out, but it is also why every young signal caller looks to older peers for help and guidance. Robert Griffin III has known all of these struggles and more during his time in Washington, but according to Pro Football Talk, when he approached a legend for guidance, he was rebuffed.

Prior to the 2014 season, Washington was going through some joint practices with the New England Patriots, and Griffin wanted to take some time and get some tips from Tom Brady. The only problem was that Brady was not into that arrangement at all.

"If I get a chance to sit down and talk to him, I'd love to, just to pick his brain," Griffin said at the time.

"Not until my career is done, Rob," Brady told Griffin.

RG3 says he still learned a lot from watching how the Patriots go about their business, but he was disappointed not to get to learn from one of the best to ever play.
