Todd Gurley is the latest NFL prospect to intrigue the Miami Dolphins ahead of the 2015 NFL Draft. That, however, would be as catastrophic as the infamous Ted Ginn Jr. selection of 2007.

Engage hyperbole.

Admittedly, Gurley has separated himself from Wisconsin's Melvin Gordon as this draft's best running back, but there are more pressing needs in Miami.

Miami Dolphins Zeroed in on Todd Gurley?

Below are three players the Dolphins should consider for the No. 14 overall pick.

Landon Collins, S, Alabama

Trae Waynes is still a possibility at No. 14, but with the signing of Zack Bowman, Miami's focus in the secondary should shift to safety. Louis Delmas is still recovering from a torn ACL, making Collins, the draft's top-rated safety, a decent bet for 2015.

DeVante Parker, WR, Louisville

Size and playmaking ability, that's what Parker brings to the table. With Mike Wallace and his petulance out of the picture at Sun Life Stadium, adding a red zone threat to the offense is a must. At 6'3", Parker does just that.

La'el Collins, OL, LSU

Offensive line. Offensive line. Offensive line. That should be Miami's montra in the 2015 NFL Draft. Last year, by selecting Zack Martin, the Dallas Cowboys proved that making the smart pick over the sexy one can do wonders for any quarterback, even Tony Romo. Ryan Tannehill deserves similar treatment.

The audacious—and albeit overpriced—signing of Ndamukong Suh proved that winning in the trenches is a priority for the team this season. Mike Tannenbaum and company will do wonders by doubling down on that message, selecting Collins in the first round.
