Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen are two titans in their respective industries, perhaps the most famous and most beloved to ever play quarterback and walk a runway, respectively.

However, while Brady's New England Patriots career is still going strong, Bundchen has announced her retirement from the Catwalk. Bundchen broke the news via an interview over the weekend with Brazil's Folha de Sao Paulo newspaper.

"I don't see how to continue (modeling on the catwalk) ... and stopping will leave room for other projects I have for myself," Bundchen said. "Automatically my body tells me if what I do is worth it, and it asked to stop. I respect my body, it's a privilege to be able to stop."

Despite not herself being an athlete, it's interesting to her Gisele talk about the end of her modeling career in the terms and language that an athlete like her husband would use in discussing his own retirement. It serves as an appropriate reminder that these supermodels exert a lot whilst somehow making what they do look so effortless.

Bundchen made her runway debut at New York's Fashion Week in 1996, and by 2000 she was working for $25 million a year annually for Victoria's Secret. She and Brady have two young boys.
