Kevin Garnett has returned to the Minnesota Timberwolves this season after eight seasons split between Boston and Brooklyn. Although he’s only averaged 7.6 points in five appearances with the T’Wolves, it’s nevertheless great to see him back where he belongs.

With the Timberwolves about to play their 82nd and final game of the season on Tuesday, the question is now whether KG will return to the team next season. Retirement rumors have persisted for weeks, but many close to Garnett think he has too much fire to hang it up just yet.

The potential to serve as a mentor and role model to a young locker room made up of players like Andrew Wiggins, Zach LaVine, and the team’s upcoming first round draft pick probably proves tantalizing as well.
