The Washington Redskins are just a few seasons removed from looking like a promising young team on the rise. Instead, they now look like a franchise with more questions than answers. There are many reasons for their fall, but arguably the biggest is their quarterback play in recent years.

Robert Griffin III looked like a sure-fire superstar after a stellar rookie season, but he has struggled with health and performance since then. The team may have lost confidence in RG3, as they have said that they are open to drafting a quarterback in the first round of the NFL Draft. Griffin still thinks he can be a star, according to the Washington Post, and he plans to showcase that this fall.

Griffin recently sat down for a lengthy interview about his life and his playing career, and he took some time to explain why he has mostly been under the radar this offseason, which is a departure from what he has done in the past.

Griffin says that he is done discussing whether or not he will become a great quarterback and plans to prove it on the field instead.

"It's not about talking about it; it's about being about it," Griffin said. "That's what my goal is this whole offseason. You gotta talk small, play big, take care of the little things so the big things fall into place."

The way I look at it is as long as I'm here with the Washington Redskins and they say I'm the guy, then I'm the guy," Griffin added. "I'm ready to go."

Head coach Jay Gruden has said that RG3 will enter the season as the starting quarterback.
