Indiana Pacers forward Paul George returned to an NBA basketball court on Sunday night, for the first time since a horrific leg injury last summer during a Team USA scrimmage in Las Vegas.
Paul George Opens Up About His Gruesome Leg Injury
George's leg had effectively been snapped in two, ranking it alongside Kevin Ware and Joe Thiesmann on the shortlist of the most devastating leg injuries in sports history.
However, he underwent surgery and a tireless rehabilitation, and his presence injects some much-needed life into a Pacers team that's looking to make a postseason push. George finished with a line of 13 points, two rebounds, and two assists as Indy rolled past the Miami Heat, 112-89.

Duke Blue Devils head coach Mike Krzyzewski is in Indiana for the upcoming national championship on Monday night, and he was coaching the men's national FIBA team when George sustained his injury. So, fittingly, he stopped by the arena pregame to lend George his support.

Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James also posted some words of encouragement for George on social media Sunday night.
Absolutely great day for my Nike Brother and homie @ygtrece! Congrats man on the journey all the way to this point.
