As you may have heard by now, Bruce Jenner is undergoing some surgical procedures later this year as a part of a gender transition process that will eventually allow him to go through life as a woman. The reactions to his announcement have ranged across the spectrum.
Regardless of how people specifically feel about Jenner's decision, it has sparked debate about the procedure and about the form Olympic gold medalist. On Sunday, a new chapter in the debate was written at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. According to CNN, host Jamie Foxx opened the show with a monologue (which is a staple at any awards show), but one of his jokes was not appreciated by many fans.
At one point during the opening, Foxx referenced the lineup for the evening, and he took the opportunity to send a jab in Jenner's direction. "We got some groundbreaking performances, here too, tonight," Foxx said. "We got Bruce Jenner, who will be doing some musical performances. He's doing a his-and-her duet all by himself."
Many viewers took to Twitter to express their displeasure over the joke, arguing that it was insensitive to Jenner's decision and offensive to millions of people that struggle with issues like gender identity.
Jamie Foxx just made a terrible, disgusting joke about Bruce Jenner's rumored transition on this trash awards show.

Seriously #JamieFoxx? #BruceJenner jokes? You're disgusting, that's not ok. It wasn't funny, just mean spirited and lazy. #SupportLGBT — Angela (@AngelaPquigley) March 30, 2015
Inappropriate and offensive joke @iHeartRadio to #brucejenner that I guess the producers thought was funny. Think before doing stupid jokes.
