Nine is enough for Darren Sharper's attorneys in his rape allegations to convince the former NFL defensive star to enter a plea.

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Sharper, 39, is expected to enter a plea Monday that would resolve all sexual assault claims in two jurisdictions, his attorney said Friday. Later Friday, USA TODAY Sports confirmed that Sharper has reached a plea deal that could resolve all nine rape charges against him.

The news comes on the heels of Sharper being accused of drugging and raping two tourists in Las Vegas at a hotel on the Strip while they were unconscious. He is currently in custody in Los Angeles, having been charged with assaulting two women.

Sharper also is accused of sexually assaulting three women in New Orleans and drugging three women and sexually assaulting two in Phoenix.

The Times reported that the Las Vegas charges "accuse Sharper of drugging the women and assaulting them when he knew that they were 'mentally or physically incapable of resisting.'"

"The case was set to be heard Friday in Las Vegas Justice Court, but his attorney requested the hearing be delayed until April 3 because he was appearing in court in Los Angeles on separate rape and drug charges," the report reads.

Yahoo! Sports reported that Los Angeles prosecutors are hoping to keep the 14-year NFL veteran defensive back in their jurisdiction to proceed with their case first - even in the event of another state formally requesting his extradition. He has been jailed there since Feb. 27.

Sharper, a five-time Pro Bowl defensive back and two-time All-Pro, played with the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints.

The bizarre tale of a fallen former NFL star and television analyst also dragged out the name of former Saints teammate Reggie Bush, who immediately denied any involvement.
