Ernest Wallace, 41, the third suspect in the murder of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd has been captured by police in Florida, according to reports.
Massachusetts police had issued an alert for Wallace, nicknamed "Bo Fish," earlier today in relation to Lloyd's killing, that also involved former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez. The football has been officially charged with Lloyd's murder, as well as multiple weapons charges.
Wallace was considered "armed and dangerous" and was last seen driving a silver/gray Chrysler 300 with Rhode Island license plates 451-375. The Chrysler 300 he was said to be last seen driving was found in Bristol, Connecticut after a tipster realized a car matching the description in the police alert had been sitting outside their apartment complez all week.
Hernandez was seen with two other men in addition to Lloyd the night he was killed. The second man, Carlos Ortiz, has been located and arrested, agreeing to be extradited from Connecticut. The Boston Globe reports that Ortiz could be arraigned on one count of carrying a firearm without a license.
Hernandez has had the case against him outlined by the prosecution, which is relying a great deal on circumstantial evidence, largely due in part to the lack of a murder weapon.
Among the evidence is surveillance of the four men out together the night of the murder, suspicious texts from Lloyd to his sister that read, "Did you see who I was with?," "NFL. Just so you know," that were sent moments before he was shot, as well as surveillance tape of Hernandez at a gas station getting gas, Black and Mild cigars, and blue Bubblelicious gum.
The gum has become important, because a piece of blue gum was found inside a vehicle related to the murder, as well as a shell casing from a gun that police believe was used to kill Lloyd.
While a murder weapon wasn't found, authorities are of the belief a .45 caliber weapon was used; a cell phone photo of Hernandez in 2009, that he took himself, shows him holding that type of firearm.
Police are also searching for clues that could tie Hernandez to a 2012 double homicide that some in law enforcement believe played a role in the decision to take Lloyd's life.
