Ray Rice Rumors: Disgraced Former Raven Dominates Park Football Game [VIDEO]

With NFL free agency about to get started this week, several players are already reportedly on the way to new teams. Other players will still have to endure the rigors of taking several meetings and possibly holding workouts for teams in the span of just a few days. One player who certainly would love to have that chance is Ray Rice.

Rice has been hoping for an opportunity to get back into the league ever since Baltimore released him in the midst of his domestic violence scandal. Rice was suspended for the entire year, which was eventually overturned. Still, he was unable to land on a roster anywhere, despite some playoff teams desperately needing help at running back.

It remains to be seen whether enough time has passed for a team to take a chance on Rice. Indeed, it may be that too much time has passed. Running backs are not usually known for their longevity, and it may be that taking a chance on a back that has been away from the game for a year and is within sight of his 30th birthday is just not a smart business decision.

Still, Rice has been working out and trying to stay in shape, and that even includes a little bit of football. According to TMZ, Rice has been spotted playing some pick-up football in the park, and he dominates out there.

Rice mostly played wide receiver and cornerback in the rec game (because there are basically no designed runs in backyard football), and some of the guys that he played with said he was still NFL-caliber.

"He was on a whole different level," said one source.

Another source commented, "He caught the game winning interception (see the video below) and everyone went nuts!"

Overall, the guys said Rice was a lot of fun and added, "We would love to have him back if he ever wants to play with us again."
