The New York Post is reporting Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover model Kate Upton has been spotted “cozying up” to Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin.
According to the Post, Upton and Griffin were also seen dancing and hanging out at several New York City clubs earlier this week during a whirlwind Wednesday evening.
“Kate was whispering in Blake’s ear as they were watching the show,” an onlooker who sat near the couple during a burlesque performance told the Post. “They were sitting close.”
Rumors of a potential Upton, Griffin romance come not long after she was linked to “Dances With the Stars” regular Maksim Chmerkovskiy. The Post reported earlier this month the two were seen looking “very canoodly” while celebrating her 21st birthday on June 10.
”Blake called Kate and invited her to come by,” a source close to the model told the paper of her evening with Griffin. Sources also added Upton began her evening clubbing with friends at Tribeca nightspot Nobu, before meeting Griffin and his crew at the club Beauty & Essex. The pair ended their public evening “dancing up a storm” at hotspot Box & Avenue.
While Upton was out with Griffin, Chmerkovskiy, 33, was reported to be in Hollywood making a scheduled TV appearance. Sources say he plans to be in NYC early next month to co-star in a revival of Broadway’s “Forever Tango” that will also co-star his former fiancée and “DWTS” dancer Karina Smirnoff.
