The Chicago Bulls once again find themselves in the unfortunate position of having to push for a playoff spot without Derrick Rose thanks to yet another knee injury suffered by the former MVP. The team was considered one of the legitimate threats in the Eastern Conference, but now that status may have gone out the window.

NFL's Biggest Stars Made Into Superhero Memes

One of the main reasons many considered the Bulls dangerous is the emergence of shooting guard Jimmy Butler. Butler had already established himself as an elite defender, but this year, he took a leap forward on offense and is playing like one of the best all-around shooting guards in the NBA.

Butler will be a restricted free agent after the season, and he may quite possibly be done in Chicago. Apparently Butler wants to play on the biggest stage, and he is interested in teaming up with Carmelo Anthony as a member of the New York Knicks.

Rajon Rondo One-And-Done In Dallas?

Rumors have circulated for a while now linking Butler to either the Knicks or the Los Angeles Lakers. He seems to have his heart set on playing in one of the NBA's two premier markets, and there is no doubt that either team would love to add him to their roster, as both the Knicks and Lakers currently reside among the bottom four teams in the entire league.

Since Butler will only be a restricted free agent, Chicago will have the opportunity to match any offer that New York or any other team makes for Butler. However, the Bulls will not have nearly as much cap space as the Knicks, so New York could easily make a high enough offer that Chicago would basically have to let Butler leave.
