Aaron Hernandez Murder Investigation Update: Patriots Star Detroyed Security System, Cell Phone Before Meeting with Police

Aaron Hernandez destroyed his home security system and submitted his cell phone “in pieces” before authorities could survey either, according to Yahoo! Sports.

The report comes just hours after others emerged seemingly directly connecting the New England Patriots star tight end to the execution-style murder of “associate” Odin Lloyd earlier this week.

The semi-pro football player’s bullet-riddled body was found near Hernandez’s Massachusetts home and a rental car registered in his name after witnesses told police they saw him, Hernandez and at least two earlier men leave a local bar together just hours before his body was discovered.

In light of the latest evidence, ESPN is now reporting agents plan to return to Hernandez’s mansion with yet another warrant to search the former Florida star’s residence. The website is also reporting that police have discovered a team of workers were hired to clean the property just hours before cop’s initial search.

Hernandez’s latest troubles come on the heels of an incident earlier this month in which he was charged with shooting a longtime acquaintance following a Miami club-hopping dispute that allegedly left the man unable to use his right eye.

Alexander S. Bradley has now sued Hernandez in connection with that alleged crime and police are still investigating.
