Aaron Hernandez, the ex-New England Patriots star tight end who stands accused of orchestrating the murder of Odin Lloyd, and pulling the trigger in his shooting death, will be back in court again today at 9:00 a.m. Follow Day 17 of the court proceedings free here.

Day 16 pushed the prosecution’s timeline of events forward thanks to video surveillance of a happy Hernandez dancing and happy in a gas station parking lot, where he infamously bought a pack of blue bubblegum that’s become important to the case.

There was also testimony about Hernandez at a Providence bar prior to Lloyd’s murder. At one point Hernandez was caught smoking marijuana near the bar according to Kelly Rose Belanger, the manager at the time. “Just a group of people having a casual time, food, and drinks,” Belanger said. She also told the court that Hernandez didn’t make a scene when confronted about the marijuana, simply apologizing and putting it out.

Hernandez received his bar tab at 12:18 a.m., which furthers the prosecution’s timeline because it gives him ample time to have picked up Lloyd at his home. When Hernandez was seen getting gas and dancing in the parking lot before buying the gum, it was 2:10 a.m.

Carlos Ortiz, a suspected accomplice, was with Hernandez at the gas station and can be seen on the tape wearing a white towel. A white towel was later found in the industrial park where Lloyd was shot.
