New England Patriots Star Aaron Hernandez Questioned In Murder Probe

New England Patriots All Pro tight end Aaron Hernandez is being questioned by Boston police investigating a possible homicide in a town just 40 miles south of where he stars at.

Sports Illustrated is reporting that Massachusetts State police spoke to Hernandez earlier this week and now were even interested in searching his home. Authorities stressed Hernandez is not believed to be an actual murder suspect, but note a vehicle rented in his name has emerged as a key piece of evidence in the investigation.

According to SI, police identified a rented 2013 Chevy Suburban owned by Enterprise with Rhode Island license plates as a vehicle possibly connected with the crime. Late Monday, an unidentified jogger found the body of a 27-year-old Boston man in a rental vehicle tied to Hernandez less than a mile from his North Attleboro home.

Late Tuesday, a North Attleboro police car idled in front of Hernandez’s home, parked across from two television news vans assigned to keep watch of it all.

A fourth-round pick in 2010, draft, Hernandez was named the Pro Bowl in his second season. Last year, in an injury riddled season, he caught 51 passes and scored five touchdowns for the Patriots.
