New England Patriots Rumors: Julian Edelman Still Refuses To Discuss Possible Super Bowl Concussion [VIDEO]

Julian Edelman was one of the stars of the Super Bowl. He had a great game, and he made two of the biggest catches of the game. One came when he snagged a crucial pass on third and long while absorbing a devastating hit from Kam Chancellor, and the other was when he caught New England's game-winning touchdown pass.

While the latter catch certainly had a bigger impact on the outcome of the game, it was the first one that had - and still has - people talking. Edelman took an unbelievable shot from Chancellor on the play, and many suggested that he could have a concussion.

After the game, rumors circulated about whether or not Edelman was ever tested for a head injury. Some say he was, whereas others say that there was no way that enough time passed for him to have been tested. After the game, Edelman declined to talk about it.

Eagles Declined Trade Offer For Josh Gordon

According to Pro Football Talk, Edelman is still standing by the company line of not talking about injuries or anything like that.

When asked if he thought the hit was a penalty, Edelman replied, "I don't have an opinion on that. Kam Chancellor's doing his job. Whether it was or wasn't [a penalty], that's for the refs to decide."

He also delivered a couple of classic Patriots responses, throwing out "Due to our team policy, I can't discuss that" and "Next question."

When asked if he was tested for a concussion, Edelman responded, "I went through all the protocols."

Some have suggested that the fact that Edelman is still not talking is proof that there is something to hide, since he and the team no longer have any incentive to withhold information if they did everything properly (because they are not trying to prepare for an upcoming game). If there is something to hide, it would be yet another failure for a league that desperately wants fans to believe that it cares about player safety.
