Terrell Owens Visits Chad Johnson In Jail: Butt Slap Lands Ochocinco Prison Stint [VIDEO]

Chad Johnson, who was recently tossed in the slammer for playfully slapping his lawyer's butt in court, received a visit from former teammate Terrell Owens in jail on Saturday, according to Owens' Twitter.

Owens said his friend was in "good spirits" but also said seeing him locked up was a "humbling experience." On his personal Twitter account Owens said, "Just visited the homie @ochocinco. He's in good spirits, he needs a haircut already tho. Lol. He sends his best regards to everyone."

Owens admitted he had never visited someone in jail before, and shared his thoughts. "I really didn't know what to expect but to see the homie locked up is a very humbling experience, to talk to him via vid conference let me know that's not where anyone wants to be. I know he's only in the county jail but to someone that has never been locked up...Jail is Jail!"

Johnson is in jail because a judge rejected the plea agreement he had worked out with prosecutors with regards to his head-butting of ex-wife and reality television star Evelyn Lozada. Johnson had agreed to community service and counseling, following a probation violation, but after Johnson playfully slapped his lawyer's rear, the judge told him "This is not a joke."

Owens was only Johnson's teammate for one season, but the two are somewhat kindred spirits in terms of their turbulent careers. While Johnson is not the player Owens was, for a time he was one of the NFL's elite pass-catchers.

In 2010, their lone season in Cincinnati, Johnson made 67 catches for 831 yards and four touchdowns. Owens caught 72 balls for 983 yards and nine scores. The pair helped the Bengals reach the postseason, where they were ousted by the New York Jets.

Johnson was cut from the Miami Dolphins' training camp last season in the wake of his arrest in the assault of Lozada. He has not played in an NFL game since 2011. Owens' last game was the playoff loss in 2010.
