The Los Angeles Clippers are trying to maintain their playoff position in the brutal Western Conference right now without star big man Blake Griffin, but center DeAndre Jordan has stepped up in a big way. In the last five games, Jordan has twice posted 20-point, 20-rebound performances including grabbing 27 against Dallas on Monday.

"It's just not done," head coach Doc Rivers said of Jordan's rebounding and scoring. "And nobody notices him. It's amazing to me that no one notices DeAndre Jordan."

On top of his career best 13.7 rebounds a night, Jordan has been impacting the game with his rim protection as well, turning away 2.4 shots per game. They'll need that with Rockets guard James Harden attacking the rum relentlessly. He leads the league in free throw attempts (488), and it's not close. Jimmy Butler of the Chicago Bulls is in second with 126 fewer foul shots.

Even though Jordan has flourished with increased responsibility, he isn't happy at all to not have Griffin by his side in the paint.

"You never want to see somebody get hurt," Jordan said. "At this point, we just need as many wins as we can get. We've just got to be able to take advantage of everything. Keep working on us. Don't worry about other people."
