Memo to mankind: do not come at Kevin Durant's teammates on social media, even obliquely. He will make you regret it.
KD's One-Time Flame Defends Knicks on Twitter
The Oklahoma City Thunder announced on Tuesday that they were signing F/C Nick Collison to a multi-year extension. Collison has been with the franchise his entire career, dating back to 2004 when they were still the Seattle Supersonics.
NBA pundit Chris Palmer, formerly of ESPN.com, was not a fan of the signing, and took to Twitter to give his two cents.
"Dude who averages 3 pts & 3 rebs gets 2-year/$8M extension. No wonder they won't make the playoffs," Palmer tweeted.

Kevin Durant Interested in New York Knicks?
This opinion quickly reached Durant's ears, and the reigning MVP fired back at Palmer with an absolute fatality of a response:
@ChrisPalmerNBA means a lot coming from a dude who got fired for being a dumbass — Kevin Durant (@KDTrey5) February 3, 2015
That's what the kids call getting ethered. Or at least they used to call it that back in the day. When it comes to having your teammates' back, KD...you the real MVP.
