Chad Johnson Domestic Abuse Case: Blind Judge Says She Saw NFL Star Slap Lawyer's Butt In Court

 A judge who ripped up a plea deal agreement for former NFL star Chad Johnson and instead sentenced him to 30 days in jail after insisting she saw him slap his lawyer on the rear end during proceedings has previously admitted she is legally blind, according to the web site Gossip Extra.

Florida Judge Katie McHugh, who won her seat just last November, described herself as “legally blind” during several campaign events. McHugh also described the condition she suffers from as Stargardt’s Disease, a rare genetic condition.

Gossip Extra ads McHugh went on to detail how her condition is so severe it made it impossible for her to so much as obtain a driver’s license. Yet, on Monday, McHugh was clearly straight-forward when she told Johnson” “I just saw you slap your attorney on the backside,” an action she later chastised him for as so egregious he couldn’t possibly be taking the proceedings seriously enough.

Gossip Extra added the web site had since inquired of the judge just how she was able to make such observations given her condition, but had yet to receive a response for her. Johnson was in court after being cited for violation of the probation he received last year in connection with a domestic abuse case stemming from an attack on his now ex-wife, reality TV star Evelyn Lozado.

TMZ reported, probations officials had sought his arrest after he failed to show for several scheduled meetings with his probation officer and had yet to show proof he had completed a court-ordered anger management course.

Still, given the more recent developments involving McHugh, attorneys for Johnson told Gossip Extra they planned to retutn to court on Tuesday to again seek their client’s release.
