Eric Dickerson has a historical place in the NFL. Not only is he in the Hall of Fame after a stellar career with the Los Angeles Rams, but he is also the league's all-time single season rushing yards leader after he ran for 2,106 yards during the 1984 season.

Now, apparently he is also dishing out some parenting advice. According to TMZ, Dickerson recently gave an interview where he did not hold back about his thoughts on pop star Justin Bieber and his behavior.

Dickerson has a little bit of firsthand knowledge about Bieber, as the two used to be neighbors when Bieber lived in Calabasas, California. Dickerson has said that when the two lived near each other, he often saw Bieber driving around town at unsafe speeds.

Dickerson thinks that Beiber may have turned out very differently if his mother had parented with a more stern hand. Specifically, Dickerson says that he thinks Bieber could have used a few good a**whoopings. Dickerson goes on to say that "a good a** whoopin' never hurt nobody" and that his own mother's tough love helped make him into the person he became.

Bieber's behavior has been erratic at times, and in the past, he has certainly seemed like he did not care if anybody else thought that was he was doing was not okay.

Eventually - and probably to Dickerson and some other neighbors' relief - Bieber moved out of the neighborhood. He also just recently made a video in which he expressed his desire to change for the better.

As far as whether Dickerson thinks Bieber can change, he said, "It's possible."
