To compete with injury-prone quarterback Sam Bradford in 2015, the St. Louis Rams are interested in bringing in a quarterback with a recent history of injuries.

NJ.com is reporting that the Rams have expressed interest in Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles. Foles has a 14-4 record as a starter the past two seasons and has thrown 46 touchdowns and 17 interceptions in his three years as a starter, according to ramblinfan.com, a Sports Illustrated FanSided-affiliated site.

Foles, however, missed the last half of the 2014 with a broken collarbone. In 2013, he missed three games because of a concussion.

That's a much better track record, however, than Bradford has had injury-wise. The former No. 2 draft pick has played in only seven games because of torn ACLs in consecutive seasons.

The Eagles are rumored to have an interest in trying to trade up in the 2015 NFL draft to acquire Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota, a player that Eagles coach Chip Kelly recruit to the Ducks when he was their coach.

NJ.com added that the Houston Texans and Tennessee also have expressed interest in Foles.

The Eagles quarterback threw for 2,163 yards with 13 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 2014 in eight games. Most analysts agree that Foles took a step back from his 2013 season in which he threw for 2,891 yards with 27 TD passes and just two interceptions.

"A dropoff was expected," said an NFC scout to NJ.com. "I wouldn't be too concerned if I was Chip (Kelly). I think he'll be fine."

The Rams have the No. 10 pick in the 2015 draft. Whether that's a high enough pick to land Mariota is unclear. But St. Louis is desperate for a quarterback that can help the offense hold its own with the Rams defense, one of the better units in the league.
