The Los Angeles Lakers have been having a terrible season, and the team has real question marks ahead of next season also, as they may not be able to lure any difference-making free agents to the team this offseason. They have also dealt with numerous headlines revolving around Kobe Bryant's contract, subpar play, and possible retirement.

The team has still had bright spots, however. They have played well at times, and because they are the Lakers, interesting things always seem to happen around them. According to Fox Sports, during Tuesday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans, everyone was shocked when Hollywood actor Will Ferrell took over the halftime show.

Ferrell was in the arena because he was filming some scenes for his upcoming movie, Daddy's Home. According to IMDB, the film stars Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. The plot summary reads: "When a divorced guy's ex-wife re-marries someone way more uptight, he re-enters her life and wreaks havoc."

Ferrell stormed onto court at halftime and performed various hijinks, including beaning a cheerleader with a basketball.

The crowd apparently had a great time, and they cheered Ferrell raucously. He concluded his antics by attempting a woeful halfcourt shot before being dragged off by security.
