Lindsey Vonn Drug Testing: Tiger Woods Girlfriend Tested At Red Carpet Event

Lindsey Vonn, Olympic skier and new love interest of the world's best golfer, Tiger Woods, was subjected to a surprise United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) drug test at the Council of Fashion Designers of America awards show at Lincoln Center in New York City, according to reports.

The agency and Vonn's spokesperson confirmed the accuracy of the reports, and Vonn was allegedly unbothered by the timing of the random test. Lewis Kay, her spokesperson said, "She understands it is part of the job."

The 2010 gold medalist was praised by USADA spokeswoman Annie Skinner, who said of Vonn, "We appreciate her professionalism and for accommodating this process, which at times can be inconvenient."

The New York Post reports that Vonn met the drug testers at a bathroom where she was asked to urinate in a cup. Her sample was then tested on site; according to The Post's source, Vonn passed the random test.

Along with her questionably timed test, Vonn also made news by shedding light on her fairly recent relationship with Woods. There's not much distance," she says. "I'm just in the gym right now, so I can be anywhere. I'm not skiing until September. So, it's been great. We haven't really been apart that much."

Vonn won't be skiing until September thanks to a brutal February crash in which she tore her anterior cruciate ligament. She is still recovering from the ensuing surgery. Vonn said that attending events such as the Council of Fashion Designers show helps add some color to her routine.

"When I'm training, it's just physical," Vonn said. "But it's nice for me to kind of break things up and go to events like this."

Vonn also remarked on why her and Woods are such a happy couple. "We're similar. We're both at the top of our sports, and we relate really well to each other."
