Tim Tebow's playing days are over, but the former NFL quarterback is still using his star persona to make a difference off the field.

The charity foundation that bears Tebow's name announced on Tuesday that they are planning to hold a nationwide "Night to Shine" this Valentine's Day, which will provide over 7,000 special needs teenagers with a holiday prom they'll hopefully never forget. In addition to fine clothing and hair and make-up styling, the event will also provide the kids with a red carpet, professional photography, food and dancing.

“Our goal is to make every individual feel special and loved that night, as if they’re the only ones there,” Debbie Fasano, who is organizing the Illinois event, told Fox News.

"We are so excited to be able to create this opportunity for thousands of people around the country with special needs," Tebow said in a statement released through his foundation. "This event perfectly fits our mission to bring faith, hope and love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need."

Upwards of 50 churches are said to be participating in the initiative.
