The Green Bay Packers' agonizing defeat at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game could be chalked up to many things: questionable play calling, a botched onside kick recovery, passive coaching decisions, et cetera. But there is one thing that Aaron Rodgers says did not affect the game: divine intervention.

DeMarco Murray Engaged After Cheating Scandal

Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson threw a career-high four interceptions during the game, and when he spoke after the game about his performance, he indicated that he thought God had made him throw the interceptions in order to set the stage for a more dramatic comeback.

According to CBS Sports, Rodgers made his weekly appearance on a Wisconsin radio show, and he and the host began discussing Wilson's comments.

Aaron Rodgers Blames Play Calling For Loss

Here was the exchange from the radio show:

Jason Wilde: "Melissa says: I always find it a little off-putting when athletes, actors, and anybody says, "This is what God wanted" or "I want to thank God for helping us win today" -- anything along those lines when a game or award is won. I'm paraphrasing here, but you get the gist. Personally, with all the chaos in the world, I'm not sure God really cares about the outcome of a game or an awards show. What do you think of statements such as these? You've obviously got your faith. Does what happens on Sunday impact your relationship with God or your faith at all?"

Aaron Rodgers: "I agree with her. I don't think God cares a whole lot about the outcome. He cares about the people involved, but I don't think he's a big football fan."

Rodgers did not specifically reference Wilson at any point, but it certainly sounds like he was alluding to the Seattle quarterback's comments.
