Golden Tate's career in Seattle ended last year, but one particular rumor from his tenure there continues to dog him.

Tate's Alleged Affair A Reason For His Release From Seattle?
Tate's first season in Detroit ended two Sundays ago with a playoff loss to the Cowboys, and he's using his off-season to set the record straight on this gossip.

Russell Wilson & Snow Phat Dating Rumors: Not A Couple?
I did not have an affair with Russell Wilson’s wife, nor did I have anything to do with his divorce," Tate writes. "That is laughable for anyone who knows us. His ex-wife, Ashton, is still best friends with my girlfriend.
"Russell and I were good friends when I was in Seattle, on and off the field — he knows the rumors about me were unfounded, damaging to my reputation, and an attack on my character."
Tate had denied the existence of any affair before, but this is the most emphatic and public manner in which he's done so. Wilson has believed Tate's side of the story from the beginning. When rumors of the affair first happened last spring, Wilson tweeted his followers to give Tate "#peace."
