After taking care of business with an 8-wicket win against Scotland earlier in the week, Afghanistan now faces off against Ireland in their second ODI match of the 2015 Dubai Triangular Series.

Javed Ahmadi was the Man of the Match in that first bout, as he paced the team with 74 runs. Afghanistan will need a similar level of production from him today in order to get past the Irish.

Ireland for their part are not taking their opponents lightly. “They’re a really strong side with what seems to be a lot of strength and depth," said John Mooney, via the team's website. “They play a brand of cricket that’s exciting and I actually really like playing against the Afghans, they’re a really tough side and a great bunch of lads as well.”

This is Ireland's first ODI in the triangular series. They'll follow up Saturday's match vs. Afghanistan with a head-to-head versus Scotland on Monday.
