Nobody seems to be giving the Carolina Panthers a shot at beating the Seattle Seahawks this weekend, but the Panthers players do not even seem to notice. Following their victory over the Arizona Cardinals last weekend, some players have said that they are looking forward to facing Seattle.

Many had completely written off the Panthers when they sat with a 3-8-1 record after 12 games, but they managed to win their final four games and their first round playoff game. It could be argued that they are one of the hottest teams left in the playoffs.

The five-game winning streak has the Panthers brimming with confidence, and they will need it when they head to Seattle this weekend. The Seahawks have been nearly unbeatable at home in recent seasons, and many around the league consider it the toughest place for visiting teams to play.

According to Fox Sports, Panthers fullback Mike Tolert does not see it that way. "There's some guys in here that actually wanted to play Seattle," Tolbert said. "As a competitor, you want to beat the best. They're king of the hill."

Panthers safety Roman Harper is in his first year with the team, and he is optimistic even though he realizes what the general opinion about is about Carolina's chances. "It isn't the prettiest thing, but we got a date to the prom at the end of the day," said Harper, laughing. "We're here. She's probably not the best-looking one; she's not going to win prom queen, but we'll have a good time."
