A Steve "Sting" Borden vs. Triple H match is all but guaranteed for WrestleMania 31, but there has also been talk about a potential bout pitting the former WCW and TNA icon against "Mr. Money in the Bank" Seth Rollins.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, a potential Sting vs. Rollins match was brought up internally backstage in the WWE. While the match appears to be a long-shot, it was at least discussed and could potentially occur should Sting decide to wrestle more than one match during this stint.

There have also been some expectations that the WWE could be grooming Rollins to enter the WWE World Heavyweight Championship picture sometime soon.

While it remains to be seen if the WWE will put him in the championship picture, it is unlikely a program with Sting will happen if the WWE does pull the trigger.

Rollins has the Money in the Bank briefcase so he can cash in anytime between now and June, so the WWE seems to be preparing him incase that's the route they decide to go soon.

Regarding Sting, he made his long awaited WWE debut at Survivor Series last month and helped Dolph Ziggler defeat Rollins to give Team Cena the win over Team Authority after he delivered a Scorpion Death Drop to Triple H.

"The Vigilante's" involvement with "The Game" seems to have set up a WrestleMania 31 bout between the two at Levi's Stadium on March 29 in California and that appears to be the route the WWE is going. The match will mark Sting's first in a WWE ring and could also be the last of his career.

There were rumors that Sting may face The Undertaker, but after the "Deadman" lost The Streak and was injured against current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar last year, his status for the "Show of Shows" is up in the air.

Word now is that if 'Taker does decide to wrestle at the biggest event of 2015, his opponent would be Bray Wyatt while Sting would take on Triple H stemming from their problems with each other at Survivor Series.

Rollins' role for WrestleMania 31 remains up in the air.

Sting is signed to a six-appearance deal with the WWE, one of which was made at Survivor Series. The former WCW Heavyweight Champion will likely make most of those dates in the buildup to WrestleMania and at the event itself.

The WWE could always save some of his appearances for a potential program with Rollins or sign him to another deal if they decide to put on the match.

While Rollins vs. Sting is a possibility down the line, Sting vs. Triple H is all but set in stone for WrestleMania 31 in March.
