Former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan has been sidelined since mid-May with a neck injury, but he announced on Monday Night RAW that he will be back at the Royal Rumble and he will take part in the 30-man over-the-top-rope match.

Bryan won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXX after defeating Triple H and going on to top Randy Orton and Batista in a Triple Threat Match in the main event.

He then announced he needed neck surgery and after the procedure he lost feeling in his arm, putting his career in doubt.

Bryan appeared on RAW and at first he seemed to be hinting at retirement.

"You know, it's an honor to come out here and by here for the last RAW of 2014. But, it's always an honor to be in this ring," Bryan said on RAW. "Every single time...Who would have thought [I] could have main evented WreslteMania? Nobody. Nobody except the [fans]. Thanks to you, I got the opportunity to beat Triple H, Randy Orton and Batista all in one night in front of 70,000 people to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

He continued: "That opportunity was given to me by you guys and I can never repay you for that. Five days after WrestleMania, I married the woman of my dreams (Brie Bella) and that was the greatest week of my life. But then everything changed. When we got back from our honeymoon, my dad died and I wasn't there for him because I was here wrestling. Then a month after that I had a career-changing injury that required surgery and the doctors didn't know what was wrong. They couldn't fix me and all I could do was sit at home on my couch and watch. And all I wanted to do was be in this ring because being in front of you guys is the only thing that has ever taken the pain away. Because this is what I love, this is what I've dreamed of my entire life is coming out here and performing for you."

Bryan then continued to tease a possible retirement, causing the WWE Universe to chant "No" as he continued his promo.

"You get to a point when you have to make a decision of whether or not...You get to a time when you have to make a decision whether all of this is worth it or not.," Bryan said with the crowd in the palm of his hand. "And because you guys have supported me my entire career, I made a special request so I could come out here and make this announcement in front of all of you. Is my career over? No! That is not the announcement that I came here to make! I am ready to fight, I am ready to compete and will I be in the 2015 Royal Rumble? YES! YES!"

Bryan is the second person to announce entrance into the match as Roman Reigns declared he will be in the 30-man bout at TLC earlier this month.

The winner of the 2015 Royal Rumble Match will go onto WrestleMania 31 and meet the WWE World Heavyweight Champion at Levi's Stadium in California on March 29.
