Today at 4:25 the Carolina Panthers (6-8-1) and Atlanta Falcons (6-9) clash live from the Georgia Dome in Atlanta for Week 17 action with the NFC South on the line. The game can be live streamed here.

Carolina is looking to win the NFC South for the second straight season while Atlanta looks to clinch the crown for the first time since 2012.

The Panthers have won three straight games and are coming off of a 17-13 victory over the Cleveland Browns last week.

The Falcons have dropped two of their last three games, however they are coming off of a 30-14 triumph over the New Orleans Saints in Week 16.

It's no secret that the NFC South is the weakest division in the NFL, but Atlanta doesn't care how its record looks and just wants to get into the tournament where anything can happen.

"It doesn't matter how you get there -- you just have to get in," Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan said per ESPN "We have a game at home and for us, if you win, you're in. Obviously this year has shaken out a lot different than any other year I've been a part of in our division. But even saying that, it doesn't matter. We are where we are, and we're excited about our chances."

Ryan is 386-for-581 (66.4 percent) for 4,434 yards this season with 28 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

Ryan's best weapon is Julio Jones, who has 100 receptions for 1,535 yards and six touchdowns.

Steven Jackson has been the team's biggest threat on the ground as he has rushed for a team-best 707 yards on 190 attempts while finding the end zone six times.

The Panthers are excited about the prospect of becoming the first team to clinch the NFC South in back-to-back seasons for the first time.

"We're in a great position," Panthers coach Ron Rivera told ESPN. "We have a chance to do something that's never happened in the NFC South and that's (win) back-to-back division titles."

Carolina turns to Cam Newton under center and though he's dealt with his fair share of injuries -- including a car accident a few weeks ago -- he is ready to go this afternoon.

Newton is 252-for-432 (58.3 percent) for 3,013 yards with 17 scores and 12 picks.

Newton has had great chemistry with Kelvin Benjamin this season as he has a team-best 999 receiving yards off of 72 catches with nine scores.

On the ground, Jonathan Stewart has paced the team with 760 yards off of 162 carries while finding the end zone three times.

The NFC South is on the line when the Panthers and Falcons collide this afternoon at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
