WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar's future beyond early 2015 has a lot of question marks, but amid rumors he may return to UFC, Bellator MMA has thrown its hat into the ring as well.

Major Heat On WWE Diva AJ Lee Backstage In WWE

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that Bellator MMA president Scott Coker told MMAFighting.com that the promotion has reached out to "The Beast" and may make a play for him when he becomes a free agent following WrestleMania 31 in March.

"There hasn't been any serious dialogue," Coker told the website. "But when the time comes to have serious dialogue, we'll be right there."

TNA Upset With Spike TV As Partnership Concludes

Lesnar is set to finish out his part-time contract with the WWE after WrestleMania 31 on March 29 at Levi's Stadium in California. Lesnar is slated to show up to Monday Night RAW the following evening, but then he is free to do whatever he wants.

There have been a lot of rumors that the former UFC Heavyweight Champion wants to return to the promotion after he is done with his current WWE stint, but he hasn't ruled out returning to the WWE on another limited-appearances deal.

Lesnar retired from the UFC due to a bout with diverticulitis, but he has a good relationship with Dana White and would be welcomed back with open arms.

There is expected to be some sort of bidding war between the WWE, the UFC and Bellator as all three have interest in landing "The Beast."

The WWE has invested a lot in Lesnar as he's one of the more expensive talents on the roster and he ended The Streak of The Undertaker last April at WrestleMania XXX and was then booked to defeat John Cena for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam in August.

The following month, Lesnar lost to Cena at Night of Champions via disqualification after "Mr. Money in the Bank" Seth Rollins interfered.

Lesnar then sat out Hell in a Cell in October, November's Survivor Series event and TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs (and stairs) earlier this month.

Following a three-month hiatus, Lesnar returned on a recent edition of Monday Night RAW and he is booked to face Cena once again in what's being promoted as their "Final Battle" at the Royal Rumble on Jan. 25 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

"The Beast" is expected to beat Cena and go on to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 31, where it is rumored he will drop the title.

What happens to Lesnar after WrestleMania is up to him, but he has many suitors between the WWE, UFC and now Bellator MMA.
