Since his departure from the WWE, Alberto "El Patron" Del Rio has been plenty busy and more details have emerged over Bellator MMA reaching out to him and who he has asked to work with in Ring of Honor.

Bellator MMA confirmed last week that they reached out to Del Rio to see if he'd be willing to return to the MMA realm in the wake of UFC making a splash by signing former WWE Superstar CM Punk.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, it appears likely that Del Rio will return to the MMA world as he is in talks with Bellator about a possible comeback, though there is said to be another promotion interested in signing him.

Kevin Nash Comments on Arrest As More Details Emerge

It appears as though Del Rio will sign with whichever organization gives him the more lucrative deal.

As for his run in Ring of Honor that is coming up soon, Del Rio specifically asked to work a match with ACH because he believes he's a really talented wrestler and he is from San Antonio. Del Rio also requested bouts with Roderick Strong and Kyle O'Reilly as well.

There are rumors that ROH will put on a Del Rio vs. Jay Lethal match at their pay-per-view on March 1.

Del Rio was fired from the WWE on Aug. 7 for slapping a social media worker who allegedly passed a racist comment about him by saying that it was Del Rio's job to clean off his plate in catering behind the former WWE Superstar's back.

The two sides recently worked out an agreement where Del Rio's no-compete clause was lifted in exchange for the former WWE Superstar not bashing the company publicly or panning it as racist..

Since leaving the WWE, Del Rio has worked for AAA and even became the World Heavyweight Champion in that promotion after defeating El Texano earlier this month.

The former WWE Champion has plans to do Ring of Honor and AAA's Lucha Underground in 2015 while MMA is also in his sights.

On top of Bellator's offer, TNA has also reportedly made Del Rio a lucrative proposition to the tune of a one-year $400,000 pact. Del Rio is not expected to join the organization because it wants exclusivity to him and he has too many plans.

TNA, however, could always land him if it drops the exclusivity clause as it is trying to convince him he can get more exposure on American television in TNA and the money they're offering is substantial.

While his days in WWE are done, 2015 is set to be a huge year for Del Rio.
